ozempic

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. This is my take as an observer on Ozempic.

We all saw the effects of ozempic on our favorite celebrities. Want to lose 200lbs? Easy, with ozempic you can do that in two weeks (this is overexaggerated but you get the point). To be honest, I feel like this is another case of treating the symptoms and letting the disease run rampant.

What is this disease I am talking about? Well, obesity of course. Obesity is a disease like any other disease. Being obese dramatically raises inflammation in your body, makes your blood glucose level unhealthy and there are way more side effects. It is not a state of being, it is literally a progressive disease that gets worse as you age (if you do not put a stop to it).

Obesity has increased significantly during the last century. Hm, so what changed? Eating habits, exercise, stress levels? Yep, to all of the above. We need to prioritize eating healthy above all before trying Ozempic (unless you critically need to lose weight as fast as possible, discuss this with your doctor!). This is simply because if you do not change your lifestyle, you'll need it forever.

I have recently began a whole-foods ancestral diet. It is a very simple concept. Did this food exist 5000 years ago? If yes, then you can eat it. Otherwise, it is likely processed garbage and you should not eat it. I began feeling healthier, nicer and overall have better health. The effects of junk food have been documented extensively but instead of companies getting their shit together for the sake of humanitarianism, they continue to increase their profit margins and then they sell the "cure". Ozempic.

So I think that before extreme measures, maybe we should try the measures that have always existed and scientifically proven to provide good health? Maybe we should not listen to companies that sell us disgusting, diabetes-inducing and fattening food that only exists to create a profit out of our failed bodies. Just a thought.
